Bay Sky Drive Traffic Impact Analysis, Signal Warrants and Operations Analysis

TGC was hired to assess the need for a traffic signal on FM 517 and Bay Sky Drive intersection and design the lane configuration and signal timing in Dickinson, TX. As the result of new developments and median construction in the vicinity of the intersection, a traffic impact analysis was first required.

Our analysis resulted in the following: as the result of the planned development, a traffic signal is warranted for the intersection, and the traffic signal is recommended to operate at the Level of Service (LOS) B for both AM and PM peak hours.
