Since 2010, TGC serves as the Westchase District’s lead consultant for the planning, funding pursuit, and implementation of projects utilizing discretionary funding sources. Notable accomplishments within this time period include:

  • Establishing the District as a Federal Transit Administration grantee

  • Securing a $14.7M Letter of No Prejudice, which allowed the District to protect local infrastructure spending in advance of future federal reimbursement.

  • Completed National Environmental Policy Act and Phase I Environmental Site Assessment documentation for the Deerwood Path, Elmside Sidepath, Walnut Bend, Westheimer, Library Loop, Brays Bayou Connector Trial, and HCC Campus Trail projects.

  • Assisted in the transfer of over $2.8M in Transportation Enhancement funding from the Texas Department of Transportation to Federal Transit Administration for use by Westchase.

  • Provide design and access solutions and traffic analyses for the universe of Westchase mobility projects.

  • Provide intergovernmental coordination between Westchase, Texas Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration, and City of Houston.

  • Act as the lead entity in managing compliance relative to federal procurements and right of way acquisition per the Uniform Act. TGC successfully pursued over $20M in discretionary federal funding for the Westheimer Road Pedestrian-Transit Improvement Project, reconstruction of Walnut Bend, and implementation of the HCC Trail.

I have worked with TGC for 10 years on a variety of projects in the District. Their expertise has assisted us in the areas of procurement, data analysis, planning, grantsmanship, and budgetary/financial review. TGC has always been a pleasure to work with, and we value their contributions to accomplishing the mission of the Westchase District.
