MEMORIAL CITY REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (CITY OF HOUSTON TIRZ 17)

GENERAL PLANNING, PURSUIT OF FUNDING, ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES, AND CIP ASSISTANCE

TGC was hired by the Memorial City Redevelopment Authority (MCRA) in 2014 to assist in the creation of a strategic planning document to help inform future iterations of the Authority’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP). TGC was successfully able to deliver this document and use it to pursue discretionary funding resources to aid in the implementation of roadway improvement projects on North Gessner and Memorial Drive. These projects were funded via grant agreements with the Texas Department of Transportation in the respective amounts of $3.4M and $13.7M. TGC continues to remain engaged with the development of these projects and the overall MCRA program through the following additional activities:

• Intergovernmental Coordination (Ongoing)
• Compliance and Grant Oversight (Ongoing)
• Completion of Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Documentation (2018)
• Completion of Categorical Exclusion Documentation (2018)
• Management of Public Engagement Associated With Roadway Projects (2018)
• Development of Additional Grant Applications for New CIP Projects (2018)
