TGC completed advanced planning and preliminary engineering of a new administration and operations facility for Connect Transit, which includes a shared use space for the Texas City Emergency Operations Center. Connect Transit and Texas City Emergency Management have outgrown their existing facilities, have transit compatible uses, and can best leverage their resources by cohabiting under one roof. The project required additional funding for the construction phase. In support of this objective, TGC successfully pursued FY 17 Section 5339 discretionary funds. The application quantified benefits and responded to other funding priorities. As a result, Gulf Coast Center was recently awarded $3M for this effort.
